So I was at the gym today and I asked to use their little body fat monitor. I like to compare it to my Tanita Body Fat Monitor/Scale cause it usually says it's less. So I mention to a worker that I like to monitor it weekly. She asks "Are you noticing a difference on a weekely basis?" all confused like. I said, "yup" and she handed it to me. My scale said 30.0% this morning (I understand being dehydrated from sleeping will raise it) but theirs said 25% so i was pretty happy about that.
I also lost another pound last night, bringing me to 188.6.
I want to get to 179lbs but I only have about 10 more days on the program and my loss has slowed considerably.
We shall see. Video will be posted on You Tube soon I promise!

About Me
- Brian W.
- I've tried just about every diet a guy can think about. I've tried Belly-Off from Men's Health, Body for Life by Bill Phillips, P90X (Holy Crap!), The Testosterone Diet, and just starving myself. Nothing worked even remotely close to Dr. Simeon's HCG Protocal. Now, for those of us who have completed the protocol, there is a new challenge, how do we eat now? Well, I don't have the answers, but I do know that I like to eat whole foods and I know that they can be easier to make than we think possible. This blog will feature recipes as well as just random sharing.

Great job on the weight loss! I wish I had measured my fat %, before starting so I would have something to compare to. I do know that I have lost 32 inches overall! I've noticed that it's about an inch over all, per pound lost. I'm at just over 34 lbs lost so far. Tonight I put on some stretchy jeans that I had. They were pretty tight before, so I thought they would still fit, but after about 20 minutes I had to keep pulling them up. Yeah! It's a great feeling. I just posted a before and after vlog on youtube yesterday. The before pictures are pretty embarrassing, but it was nice to see the change in myself. But, I still have a long way to go...almost 48 lbs to go still, so I have another 2 rounds to do after this. I too am really looking forward to adding some foods. I plan to start maintenance in a week, and I am really looking forward to it.
Well, I wish you continued success! Thanks for the updates. It really helps with some motivation seeing others that are doing HCG too!

Amanda, 32 inches?! That is fantastic, you have to keep it up! I know what you mean about having more to go, but you have to be crazy motivated by your success! I will definitly check out your before and afters. I have been taking pics every Saturday and even though I'm not where I want to be, I can definitly see a difference in the pics.
I find it difficult to even look at those pics of myself. I think I look one way in the mirror. Then I see the pics....ewww. Oh well, we'll get there right?
Keep it up!
I started day one today with my wife. We used our Tanita to measure total weight, % body water and I think the 3rd number is total fat in pounds. Anyway, we measured several body parts with a cloth tape measure also. Since I do ultrasounds at work, I'm going to try taking measurements with my ultrasound machine tonight. I saw that they measured this way in one of the studies on hCG. It should be more accurate than the cloth tape measure, if I do it correctly.
Keep posting, we're watching and learning!

Ron, that's awesome that you and your wife are doing this together. My wife didn't need to go on the program with me but she has been very supportive by helping with my shopping, cooking and just encouraging me in general. I have a great cookbook for you also. I'll add the link in my next post.
